Oak Lane in Bloom

Bradford based, international arts company and our good friends, The Brick Box connected with multiple community organisations (Raven Staging LLP, Wibsey Community Garden, Northcliffe Environmental Enterprises Team – NEET, Lister Community Action Group (LCAG) and Friends of Lister Park) to design bespoke wooden planters which were filled with beautiful flowers that were gifted to the local community. The planters were stamped with the ‘Patterns by People’ designs which gave local folk the chance to take a piece of Oak Lane home. As a nice legacy, The Brick Box even donated the racks that were made as part of the project to Wibsey Community Garden and LCAG’s Ginnel project!

Delivered by BrickBox Collective, the project saw creative planters and plant pots from a bespoke stall that were dispersed throughout the homes and businesses of Oak Lane. The planters and pots were designed by the patterns created as part of the ‘Patterns by the People’ project. They built connection to everchanging landscape of Oak Lane and enabled highstreet users to take home a piece of road and grow their house plant, garden planter or even oak tree.
