About Us
People Make Place
We are People Make Place, a newly formed collective made up of artists, architectural designers, visual communicators, project managers and place makers who deliver creative and accessible public realm interventions and experiences that animate and transform urban spaces.
As part of Bradford’s overarching cultural strategy, we have been awarded the task of developing and delivering a variety of creative projects across one of the city’s most iconic high streets, Oak Lane in Manningham.
We will be connecting, communicating and creating with residents, schools and organisations to explore what innovative interventions we can deliver that helps capture Manningham’s rich history, heritage and culture.
We hope this project will provide ownership, inspiration and opportunity for Manningham and are looking forward to celebrating the culture and creativity the Bradford District holds.
VALUES
We recognise that culture is at the heart of communities, and we are passionate about harnessing it to help places and people thrive. We believe that by engaging with and listening to local people, we can help identify opportunities and develop programmes of activities that will encourage ownership, confidence, social development and community cohesion.
We want each People Make Place project to showcase the transformative role the arts can have on individuals and communities’ overall livelihoods and wellbeing. While fusing existing community assets with the skillsets of our team to help create positive, social change.
